Hutchies is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Business Analyst to join our hard working team based in our Toowong office on a full time permanent basis.

As the Business Analyst, you play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business. Reporting to the IT Manager, your responsibilities include understanding both domains deeply and effectively communicating and collaborating with stakeholders from both areas.

#Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Practical knowledge of Agile Project Management
  • Work with the key business teams, develop, and document the business requirements for the project and manage requirement traceability across the lifecycle of the project
  • Organise, facilitate, and co-facilitate workshops to extract business requirements by working closely with key business stakeholders and software developers
  • Write clear, concise, and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Assist in developing the business cases, project plans and testing strategies for implementation projects
  • Work with team members to identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Occasional interstate travel as needed

#Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum development methodologies
  • Proficiency in requirements management software, such as Jira or Confluence
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skill
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex projects with system integrations, significant change management and data migration activities
  • Experience in developing 'as is' and 'to be' business process documentation using BPMN notation to discover, analyse, improve, and implement business processes
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and building relationships with business managers, subject matter experts and IT service providers
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders both technical and non technical
  • Construction Industry experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of programming languages and software development methodologies (desirable)
  • Process automation and workflows (desirable)
  • Database design (desirable)
  • Technical solution design or enterprise architecture (desirable)
